Aluminum or steel? Which ladder to install?
The question we hear most often from customers is: should I install an aluminum or a steel ladder?
It depends on the ladder’s intended use: if it will only be used a few times a year, aluminum will be better.
If the ladder is to be used very intensively, steel will be better. Where there are many employees with varying technical skills, a steel ladder will also be better.
Features of aluminum ladders:
- It is completely corrosion-resistant, at least in non-aggressive environments.
- It will never rust. It will never need painting or repair.
- It is lighter than steel, making it easier to install.
- It is very aesthetic.
- It is cheaper than steel.
Features of hot-dip galvanized steel ladders:
- It is resistant to accidental damage.
- It perfectly withstands even very intensive use.
- It is corrosion-resistant, provided that the zinc coating is not damaged (e.g., during installation).
- It is slightly more expensive than an aluminum ladder.
